A carefree attitude about clothes, love for vintage pieces and messy bedhead hair – achieving the iconic French woman style has been the pursuit of women for ages.
Thankfully, British Vogue has come up with this brilliant idea of revealing the mystique of the evasive French style secret by delving right into the heart of their wardrobes! The publication has started off the series “Inside the Wardrobe – How to Dress Like a French Woman” by paying visits to contemporary style icons like Caroline de Maigret and model Camille Rowe. With Josephine de la Baume being my absolute favorite, I have decided to try tracking down pieces that would perfectly emulate her covetable style and enviable insouciance.
Alexa Chung’s documentary series is finally here. She starts it off with a sit-down with British Fashion Council’s Sarah Mower and British fashion’s golden child – designer Christopher Kane.
Chung added that she hopes the series will highlight “just how hardworking people [in the fashion industry] are and that fashion is more than just Champagne and air-kisses,” she said. “It’s easy to be dismissive of fashion when actually it’s a huge industry that has a very positive impact on the economy and employs a staggering number of people.”
The six 10-minute episodes will go live every Tuesday at 10 a.m. in London.
